TRINORO AND CUPOLE

Tenuta di Trinoro and Le Cupole are the first and second wine of the Trinoro estate. They were created together, back in the nineties, and each year they spring from the same creative act of blending, when our owner and production team sit together and start tasting the wines from the 50 single parcels we keep separate during harvest, fermentation and ageing in the cellar, in order to have the most detailed picture of each vintage. Tenuta di Trinoro is created first. It aims to be the absolute top of what we can achieve. This is why the blend of varieties for this wine changes, also dramatically, from year to year. In 2021 it is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Le Cupole comes next. It is a fresher, more immediate expression of Tenuta di Trinoro. A wine with an exuberant and vivacious character. in 2021 it is a blend of 56% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc. 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot.
