In the glass Scharanuova shows equilibrium and grace. It is deep and full-bodied, fills the palate but surprises with a distinctive vertical finesse.

Why we like it
Contrada Sciaranuova reaches an altitude of 850 meters /
2788 feet asl. Scharanuova means «the new lava flow» in Sicilian and it refers to the recent geological age of this soil which was formed just 400 years old. The soil is make of lava gravel and the vines are 80 years of age.
